Frenzy.

I feel like going on a photostating and book-borrowing frenzy. To cut the story short, the system that lets you do this is sooo awesome!!! For the photostating thing, so you just save your document in the comp and press print and set it to follow-you print and you just go to the machine, type in your details and tadaa, your documents are printed. The book-borrowing thing is like you just scan the thing and you're done. But its AWESOME!!

Hmmm. Maybe I'm finding this awesome cause there wasn't such things in school where you can do so many things with just a student ID, (we didn't even have student ID's in school. -.-)

Today was fun. Met a guy from Kazakhstan who's in my class, whom I thought was Jap or Korean. hahaha. He seriously looks like a Jap/Korean. Anyways, did some role playing in class today which was quite embarassing cause it didn't really turn out the way we planned. XD. But on the happy side, I got a 97 on my first maths quiz. *jumps up and down*. =D. I'm hope that I'm able to keep my grades up.

I just realized that my assignments are starting to pile up. I need to get to them now or I'm gonna suffer later. I'm supposed to do a deatiled family tree and pass it up next week. O_O and in the process found out something about my family.

Orientation party is soon and I'm wondering whether I should take the bus or train back. The bus comes at like 4, so I can't get involved in any extracurricular clubs. =(

Quizzes tomorrow. =S

Oh no!! I have 2 quizzes tomorrow. Feeling nervous about it. I'm not sure whether I'm studying the right thing. =S. Everytime I'm in the mood to study, something interupts me. WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING?!?!? The same thing happened to me when I needed to finish my assignment the last time. :\. Hmmm. Now that I think about it, maybe its when I have no time for something else, it seems more over-whelming compared to when I have nothing better to do. XD.
I hope I do well on my quizzes tomorrow. Wish me luck. :\ *fingers crossed*
P/S : The Glee soundtracks are awesome, especially Taking Chances and Don't Stop Believing. I might be putting a list at the side of all my current favourite songs. Oh yea, please take the poll I put at the side underneath the links for other blogs. Thanks. =D

=D

My English lecturer is awesome!!! He makes everything so interesting even when its not. That what's a teacher should do not bore us even more by repeating the same thing when we don't understand them. I don't get teachers like that. When you say you don't understand something, they just repeat whatever they said like it makes it more understandable the second time they say it. So doink la. If we didn't understand it the first time obviously we won't understand it the 2nd time you say it. *rolls eyes*.

Anyways going back to my English lecturer, I'll give you a brief description of him so you can try to imagine how he looks like. He's Canadian with blue eyes, blonde hair and fair skin, 27, quite thin but not the boney type of thin. He's a really fun lecturer who likes to make the class laugh everytime. He wants us to bring our favourite song to play for the class before class starts everyday so its kinda to wake us up for the class ahead. He's not those really I'm-the-lecturer-and-you're-the-student-so-listen-to-me type but more of a friend who leads you with boundaries of that of course. Its fun being in the class. It the subject I look forward to everyday. It ends my classes perfectly since its the last subject of the day. =).

Awesomeness. =D

The decision.

Should I go or shouldn't I? Even if I go it'll only be half an hour and that's only if it starts on time. I have workshops to go for but because of transport I can't. I mean it might be beneficial to go for it but I can't. I have to take the bus at 4 (if I miss it, I have to walk and take the train and my parents have to pick me up from a quite far KTM station) and almost all the workshops start at 4. horrible. I know it sounds like excuses but seriously. Unless I live nearby and have my own transport, I wouldn't mind but that isn't the case. I'll see how it goes la. They can't punish for not having transport to go back right? =S

P/S : The Web (computer lab) is so much more quiet than the library except the occasional people who talk which is as often as those in the library. hmmm. weird. And I THINK I'm starting to get a hang of college life and stuff. Still eating alone though. =\

With The Music Playing.

She starts getting busy.
She's getting scared.
Will she meet the expectations?
This world is so different.
She's trying to fit in.

Assignments are starting to flow in. I can't believe I forgot my first assignment today. =S. Lucky we got into groups and my group mates were nice enough to lend me their materials. Thank you so much Cordelia, RT and Emily!! I'm starting to get worried that I would forget my assignments and not print them or bring the materials. X_X

I have to pass up my first major assignment tomorrow which is quite nerve racking. I'm hoping for the best.

Oh yea, on a more positive notes, I scored 20.5/25 on an English test. Not bad considering that college English and high school English has a vast difference and I didn't take ENG3U (its like the prep class for ENG4U)

Oh The Boredom!!

Yes, as usual I'm in the library to kill my time. Seriously speaking, the library and the cafeteria have become my home in college. If you ever want to find me, just look in the library, if I'm not there I'm at the cafeteria. I'm fully "benefiting" from the money paid for library and computer fees, as my parents would say. My parents seriously told me to come visit the library the first day when I said I had 3 hours to kill before the bus came. Can parents get any nerdy-er. The computer I'm using now isn't cooperating well with me, it keeps hanging. grrr..

Well, today's class was as usual. During individuals (refer to previous post to know what subject I'm talking about), we had to take down notes which I was happy to do. (It was the first class that had started notes). Then came the assignment that's due on tuesday. I regret not going up to my lecturer and verifying with him how to do each topic. Crap. He did explain to us and give us examples but I can't seem to expand my points like the examples. I guess I just have to get it done by monday, ask him to check it and what parts I need to edit. Shitty to know I have so much time to do my assignment but no idea how. Maybe I can go ask Lydia. Hmmmm. I'll go ask.

Did my presentation in data management today. First experience. Not very good. I wrote like all I needed on the slides so I was almost reading from it. Well I know have learned my lesson. hahaha. I tried to remember what I had semi-rehearsed before but as soon as I started talking, poof. The words seemed to tumble out of my mouth. Crapppp!!! Ergghh!! Well, the lecturer did compliment my group on how well we presented. =DD. yay!!

As for English, for the whole period, we did a test. It was more for the benefit of the lecturer to know whether we should be "down-graded" (go to a simpler class). I really hope I don't. I'm already starting to make friends with the people there! NOOO!!! ='(. Plus I want him as my lecturer. Awesome teacher btw. Okay. That's all for now. Gotta rush to the self-check machine to check out the books I plan to borrow. The "joy" of having so much time is I can read ALOT! I finished a relatively thick book in one day. XD.

Bye people. Till next time. ;D.

I sound like some game show host or something. =.=

Greetings from College

Hello People!

Yes, I am blogging from college. I finished class and had to wait for the bus to pick me up at 4 so I'm wasting time in the library and I didn't really feel like eating so here I am blogging. I'm taking 3 classes thus I only have 3 periods.

The first subject was Individuals and Families in Diverse Society. The lecturer was quite okay, a little boring but besides that alright. We had an ice-breaking thing in class today which was quite fun. We had to like find people who fit the criteria's in that particular paper and ask for their signature. Had a break after and continued with Data Management. I still don't really get what that is althought the lecturer kinda explained it. This lecturer likes to do a Q & A thing. So whatever question he asks, we answer. Among my 3 classes, this was the smallest. Oh and for those of you who don't know, I don't have the same classmates for all subjects. Because you have the flexibility of choosing your subjects, you might not have the same classes with friends who were from you're first class. I have made a couple of friends so far which is okay. Haven't found a makan buddy yet though. XD.

My last class which was Eng4U. Its English Level 11 I think. I'm not really sure. The lecturer is awesome. He's really interesting and fun. And I met this guy from Tanzania, Africa. He's only 16!!! The lecturer kinda did this ice-breaking game where we had to pair up and get to know each other so cause we were sitting in front of each other, we just talked and got to know each other. He told some interesting things about his town and I told him a little about Malaysia. I can tell that he's a really shy guy from the way he talks in front of class. hahaha. But he is interesting to know. Didn't have much to do today so Mr. James let us out early.

I did actually thought of taking an extra subject but the office lady (which I have to say wasn't very friendly when I told her I already have 3 subjects) said I'm only limited to 3 subjects per semester. Yup. That's pretty much my day in college. Most probably gonna hang out in the library the whole day if I'm not hungry.

P/S : The library is NOISY!!! A little irritating when you actually came for some peace and quiet. hmmph.

To know is not KNOWING until you really know.

My title doesn't make much sense but it doesn't matter.

For those of you who heard about the accident involving a Camry and a Mercedes during New Year's, you probably also know that the parents of the family of 5 were killed in that accident. And it all happened in Klang. The saddest part of all is that the oldest boy is only 11 and the youngest 8. When the accident happened the youngest boy, Eddie was sitting in front with his mum and that miraculously he survived because his mum's hands were so tightly wrapped around him that the friends in a car behind couldn't get him out. That's what you call a mother's love. It really saddens you to know that 3 little kids are orphaned because of such an unfortunate event.

But the worse part of me is that I knew all 3 of the kids. Ronnie, Kevin and Eddie. They use to attend the children's service in my church and every helper loved them. They were so cute. A few years back they stopped attending and well we never really saw them again till this happened. I actually didn't know it them when my dad told my family and I the story till this afternoon. When Tiff initially told me it was them, I couldn't believe it. I really couldn't. It hit so close to home.

Whenever you read this kind of news, you feel oh man this is really sad and you try to push it out of your mind but when you realise that you knew them, it makes it so much harder. My heart really goes out to them. I really hope God give the kids the strength to go on and succeed in life.

Singers and Light Bulbs?

I'm still trying to figure out what some artists like about light bulbs. have you ever noticed that in a video by Paramore and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (can't remember what song) and Nickelback- If today was your last day, they are all attracted to the light bulbs like that insects that like the light. I wonder what they like about light bulbs.. hmmmm.. Maybe its like feeling when you look into the light long enough and get that buzzing feeling in your eyes. (that's coming from a person that has a light bulb next to her bed for the purpose of midnight reading and some how ends up staring into the bulb unintentionally and even know when there is a reflection I can't seem to NOT look).. ouuhhhh the wonder of light bulbs.. =D

A Promise

"The day we grow apart will be far away from where we stand. Things may happen in between but that doesn’t mean we have to stop being friends."
A friend once told me that and I'll forever keep him to that promise. =)

My New Year's Eve and New Year Celebration

My new year's celebration was superb and out of this world. Spent the whole day with the people I love (family and my dear Exco). Met up with my exco at Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam though I was superly late. Sorry guys! Parents needed convincing. Had a little BBQ till it started to rain. They were having a whacky time in the pool, cannon-balling to their hearts content in the rain, till thunder and lightning started. The aunty who looks after the pool ask everyone to get out cause its dangerous. It took them some time for them to come out, well you know how it comes to us when we're having fun. In the end they got out, and we started to pack because they had to return the bikes by 5. ( I'm using they because I didn't wanna get wet cause I was sick, well actually am since I'm not totally recovered and I didn't take a bicycle. "Someone(s)" forgot to tell me when I called them.

So while the others cycled I walked. Its not a very short walk by the way. Anyways, walking did have its advantages cause I got to see 2 guys fall almost simultaneously, one almost bang into a tree and another almost banging me down. For their sake I shan't reveal who. =D. I got to bond a little with Mahes during the walk. Which made it all the better cause me and Mahes don't really talk all that much. And he was really nice about accompanying me since I was the only one walking and legs aren't faster than wheels. After returning the rented bicycles, we walked back to the entrance to wait for the taxi which would take us to the bus station and from there we took a bus back.

Skip to dinner. My dad made a deal with us that if we want to go out we have to eat dinner together first. So that's what we did. My mum cooked a delicious beef spaghetti with a colourful salad and guava as dessert. Yes, my parents believe in eating fruits at every meal. After dinner, I went to HQ for the New Year Bash. Met up with all of my Exco again. Hung around with them while eating and goofing around. The last 10 mins of 2009 were filled with singing along to songs and watching pictures of Kem Belia 2009. We counted down to the last minute and when it was officially new year, we popped party poppers big and small and set off fireworks. It was just AWESOME. We pretty much just wished everyone and took pictures after that. I had to go back about half an hour after the countdown so didn't know what happened after.

But to sum it all up. Well, it just can't be summed up. Outings with them are indescribable and priceless. Life would be very different without them and I'm meaning it in the best of ways. =).

I LOVE YOU MEB 08!!
Pssttt : Good luck to all those who'll be going for NS soon especially to my exco. Love you guys loads. I'll definitely miss you. =). Take care of yourselves!! <3
